“I say to you, as much as you have done to one of these my little ones, you have done that to me.”

- As a result of the war in Eastern Ukraine, 11,000 people have been killed and 2.5 million people have been forced to leave their homes and are now living almost without hope

- But this does not need to be, because with your help, between us we can bring hope and help into desperate situations

Helping Suffering People

- Perceiving the great need of this all-but-forgotten region of the world, in the summer of 2016 a group of friends came together to found a new organisation, Dnipro Hope Mission, with the purpose of relieving the poverty and sickness of vulnerable people living in Ukraine

- We work closely with our network of friends and local church contacts in Ukraine

- Although we support all people in need regardless of creed, nationality, ethnicity or social status, Dnipro Hope Mission is led by Christians who believe that Jesus is “the true light, which gives light to everyone” (John 1:9) and that He is the source of true hope and joy for all people

- The vision of Dnipro Hope Mission (DHM) is inspired by the compassion and solidarity with those who suffer, which we see embodied and expressed by Jesus Christ

- We believe that this vision of compassion can transform the world through a new vision of life in the Kingdom of God

- Therefore, as well as relieving poverty and suffering through providing humanitarian aid, DHM is attempting to create a new movement for renewal Ukraine by working in partnership with local churches and denominational leaders

- By creating a new movement, DHM empowers local leaders to take the initiative in ensuring that vulnerable groups (such as orphans, pensioners, and refugees) are given the care and provision they need

- This is a more sustainable model of ministry, which places the emphasis on empowering and affirming the dignity of those we serve, rather than creating dependence

- We invite you to journey with us in order to turn this vision into a reality, so that we can make a real difference to the lives of thousands of vulnerable and hurting people in Ukraine

- Most of all, we need your prayers. These kinds of initiatives that attempt to create a new movement for renewal cannot succeed without prayer, which is aimed at connecting the pain of the world with the healing love of God. If DHM is to succeed, we need to create a community of people who can commit to praying regularly for our work and the projects we aim to support

- Secondly, we need financial support so that we can provide humanitarian relief to people who are suffering. We work with our local partners to deliver essential aid (Bibles, medicines, groceries, hygiene products, etc.), to children in hospitals, orphanages and other places of great need, including the war-torn regions of eastern Ukraine

Pointers for Prayer

- Throughout Ukraine, thousands of hurting children are living in spiritual darkness due to war, poverty, abuse and neglect

- In Ukraine particularly, countless people are suffering and even dying from the effects of war, disease and poverty

- During the past two years, 1.7 million people were forced to leave their homes in Ukraine because of the ongoing conflict in the Eastern region. This includes thousands of children who are suffering physically, emotionally, and spiritually

...The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.  James 5:16
